NEMO (2004-2009)

In its 2nd call under Framework 6, the EC granted a project proposal for a Network of E xcellence on M icro-O ptics “NEMO” and supported it with a 6.4 million Euro budget. NEMO kicked off in September 2004. Until the end of 2008 it has been the networking platform of 30 European partners, each of which is a key-role player in the domain of micro-optics. The network is co-ordinated by Prof. Hugo Thienpont from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium, by Prof. Malgorzata Kujawinska from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, and by Dr. Juergen Mohr from ForschungsZentrum Karlsruhe, German
