Agnieszka Gierej (30-01-1989) is a post-doc researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, TONA, B-PHOT department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). She graduated as MSc and Engineer from Faculty of Advanced Technologies and Chemistry at Military University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland in 2014. Since 2015 she worked on her PhD research that fits within the FWO project entitled ‘Biodegradable fiber optic technology for biophotonic applications’. Her research interests cover fiber optic biosensors, polymer processing, application of biophotonics in medicine. In 2021, she obtained her PhD.
